I have a saying when it comes to the types of cases I take on…
“I don’t want to shoot squirrels. I want to shoot elephants.”
Of course, I don’t mean this literally. Elephants are beautiful, majestic creatures. But, they’re also complex and massive. This is exactly the type of legal case I prefer to take on in Tennessee.
Civil rights cases require a specific type of legal knowledge and dedication. I specialize in complex civil rights litigation because I firmly believe in defending the rights of citizens in the Volunteer State and beyond.
I’ve already discussed why Hunter Law Firm is the best advocate for your story. Your story is who you are and what you’ve been through. Your story is essential to the types of complex civil rights cases I take on in my practice.
Types of Cases I Take On
So, what falls into the category of a complex Tennessee civil rights case? Think in the realm of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Victims of these crimes have been stripped of their dignity to no fault of their own and I am willing to roll my sleeves up and get every penny and ounce of dignity you deserve back. Whatever justice looks like for you, I will fight for it.
Other complex case types I frequently handle include:
- Women’s Rights
- Equal Pay Act
- Pregnancy Discrimination Law
- Title IX
- Whistleblower Retaliation
If your case is from a more complex area of law and has unique fact patterns, you’re in the right place with Hunter Law Firm.
Staying up on the latest changes to these challenging cases is a major element of my daily work. For example, I recently dove into the new Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PFWA) which provides additional rights to people who are pregnant in the workplace. Employers are now required to give pregnant employees reasonable accommodations due to the employee’s limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions unless the accommodations would cause an “undue hardship” to the company. This is right up my alley, and I will proudly defend pregnant individuals whose rights under the PFWA are violated.
