Anne Hunter

Meet Attorney Anne Hunter

Attorney Anne Hunter brings a relationship-based approach to private practice. With extensive experience in both federal and state courts along with handling cases before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, she understands the complex needs and experiences of clients from all walks of life.

In launching her own practice, Ms. Hunter wants to find solutions for clients dealing with discrimination in the workplace. Those solutions don’t always have to be in the courtroom as she is trained as a mediator and values the collaborative approach to find the right solution for everyone. She can take on a court case, but it’s important to consider settlements, mediation, and arbitration as a means to find the best solution without the heavy burden of the trial process. At the end of the day, some experiences can be traumatizing, and having to retraumatize a survivor through the court process is unnecessary and can do more harm than good.

As a mother and an advocate, she knows the challenges faced by women and members of the LGBTQ+ community in business each and every day. Personal and professional experiences shape the type of compassionate practice she leads for her clients.

Attorney Anne Hunter received an undergraduate degree in English Literature from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, before going on to graduate from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago (yes, DePauw and DePaul University are two different universities). She has been a licensed attorney since 1995.

She remains a member of several important organizations:

She moved to Middle Tennessee in 2000 and has raised her three children here. She enjoys traveling with her family and remaining an active member of the Middle Tennessee community!
